  • Called the “Mother Marciana Heimerman Science Building” when it was completed in 1966.
  • Houses the Science Department.
    • Newman's pre-med students have a high rate of acceptance into medical school, over 80 percent.

    • 13 faculty offices
    • Large radiologic technology room and examination area

History of Heimerman Science Building

  • A small white frame building built in 1934 located west of Sacred Heart Hall served as the Science Building from 1934 to 1969.
  • Heimerman was funded at $755,000 in 1966.
