'72 Vicki Bergkamp, ASC was named treasurer of the U.S. Region of the Adorers of the Blood of Christ, effective Sept. 1, 2007.  A former Newman Business Department faculty member, Sister Vicki has earned a national reputation in the area of socially responsible investment as a member and Governing Board chair of the Interfaith Center for Corporate Responsibility, a coaltion of faith groups that explores ways to put their values into action in the global marketplace.

Jim Simon, retired truck driver and KDOT employee, died February 10, 2008.  He is survived by his wife Regina and three children.  Dolores Blasi '60 is the sister of Jim Simon. 

Peter Carney, 47, died March 5, 2008.  He was the brother of Larry & Kathie Carney and Pat & Aldona Carney.  Our sympathy to the Carney family.

Kathryn L. Gunzelman, 92, died March 22, 2008.  She was the mother of alums, Mary (Adolph) Geier, and Dennis Gunzelman.  Sending our sympathies to the family.

Ruth Klein, Sibyllina Mueller, and Mary Ellen Dater are Sacred Heart College alumnas.  The other sisters include:  Coletta Masterson, Salesia Schneweis, Cornelia Bock, Eleanor Unrein, Dominic Haug, Geraldine Eakes, Kevin Clavin, Kathleen Andrews, and Rosalia Govert.
