Chris Tate ’01 (left) arrived at Newman to play baseball for the Jets the fall of 1997, the same year that Kevin Ulwelling ’01 (center) began as a coach. The two graduated the same year, earning bachelor’s and master’s degrees, respectively. Leonard Rau ’02, (right) also played ball under “Coach K”; then assumed the role of Jets Baseball Coach in
’04 when Ulwelling was named to the Athletic Director role. The three shared team memories during a farewell reception for Ulwelling.   Kevin accepted a business development position with Single Source in Wichita.   He served Newman’s Athletic programs for 10 years of service to the athletics’ programs.
