| A Dining Experience for Newman University

Great Western Dining Service appreciates the opportunity to serve you. As you know, it takes cooperation of both students and food service to operate a quality cafeteria. This introduction will explain the services offered by Great Western Dining Service.
Identification
Each boarding student must provide positive identification each time they enter the dining room. No exceptions will be made.
Unlimited Service
Contract students will have access to unlimited food including entrees, salads, vegetables, beverages, and desserts. Seconds will not be permitted on steaks or premium entrees. No carry outs.
Fresh 'N Fruity
A variety of three seasonal fresh fruits will be offered at every meal.
Deli Bar
A variety of meats, cheeses and spreads are offered daily at lunch and dinner. Appropriate breads, condiments and relishes will be available.
Buffet Style Salad Bar
A minimum of six salads and 15 toppings will be served buffet style at lunch and dinner.
Ice Cream
A variety of ice cream will be offered in unlimited amounts for lunch and dinner.
Specialty Events
Steak Night
Steaks will be served one night each week. Students will not have access to "seconds" on steaks. But a "seconds" entree will be offered along with other entrees for those students who do not desire steak.
Monthly Special Event
Each month, a fun filled "special meal" - such as International Dinner Night, Barbecue Night, Holiday Buffet, or a Special Picnic - will be featured with all the decorations and festivities, by Great Western.
Trend Breakers
For a change of pace, once a week at lunch or dinner we offer something different, for example, "Make Your Own Sundae Bar," "Frost Your Own Cupcake," "Build Your Own Hoagie Sandwich," "Stuff Your Own Potato."
Exam Relief
Great Western will provide the students with one late night breakfast each semester during exam week. We will also provide refreshments and snacks during finals week. Great Western will deliver these to the resident halls at an agreed upon time.
Birthday Bash
Each month, in the dining room Great Western will supply a large birthday cake for all boarding students celebrating birthdays that month.
Picnics
Great Western will allow a group of students to have picnics and (furnish the food only) in lieu of a meal in the cafeteria. This will be done at no extra charge to the student. One week's prior notice is required to better serve you!
Meal Exchange
Packaged meals will be provided for those students participating in college sponsored activities or are required to work and will not allow them to attend the regular meal service. All Meal Exchange's must be approved by the Director of Residence Life.
Special Diets
If a contract student is unable for medical reasons to consume a meal in the dining room, Great Western will provide a meal consistent with their doctor's instructions.
