Grants and loans are available through state government programs. Filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) will let you know if you are eligible for these funding options.

Financial need; enroll at a private college in Kansas; FAFSA must be processed by April 1 although funds may run out before April 1

Kansas Ethnic Minority Scholarship

Up to $1,850.00

Financial need; must meet Board of Regents requirements.

Kansas Nursing Service Scholarship

Up to $3,500.00

Admitted to nursing program; work for sponsoring hospital one year upon graduation and licensure for each year receiving award; supplemental application required.

Kansas State Scholarship

Up to $1,000.00

Financial need; must meet Board of Regents requirements.

Kansas Teacher Service Scholarship

$5,000.00

Admitted to teacher education program; enrolled in area leading to certification in a hard-to-fill teaching disciple or underserved geographic areas; demonstrating high academic achievement; teach on year for each year receiving award; supplemental application required.

Kansas Math & Science Teacher Service Scholarship

$5,000.00

Admitted to teacher education program; enrolled in area leading to certification in a hard-to-fill teaching disciple; demonstrating high academic achievement; teach on year for each year receiving award; supplemental application required.

* Must be a Kansas resident to qualify for assistance. All Kansas programs require full-time enrollment.
