Severe Weather
In case of severe weather, such as a tornado warning or other disaster, the safety of faculty, staff, students and visitors is our only concern. In the event of a tornado or severe weather warning, seek shelter immediately. The following locations were recommended by the Sedgwick County Emergency Management office:
  • Administration Building - Lower level, interior hallway, away from exterior windows. The old kitchen storage area located to the east of Telecommunications can also be utilized.
  • Eck Hall - Lower level restroom areas.
  • McNeill Hall - Lower level, interior hallway.
  • Heimerman Science Center - Lower level lecture hall area (Room #104). Close all doors.
  • DeMattias Fine Arts Centerand O'Shaughnessy Hall - Lower level north side locker rooms located at the east end in O'Shaughnessy Hall.
Residence Hall students should proceed to one of the above locations if time permits. Otherwise, proceed to the lowest level of the building, interior restroom area.
