| Traffic & Parking on Campus
The primary objectives of the parking regulations and their enforcement are to provide everyone with an opportunity for parking in a safe environment. It is the responsibility of the parking permit holder to be familiar with all parking policies and regulations of Newman University.
Parking lots are restricted to those vehicles with valid parking permits. Campus Security Officers patrol the parking lots and issue tickets for violations of University parking regulations. All fines are payable at the Student Accounts Office. Three or more tickets will result in towing of the vehicle at the owner's expense. Vehicle operators are responsible for paying the cost of any damages caused to University property. If the fines are not paid, these charges will act as holds against student accounts, transcripts, grades and graduation privileges. Appeals must be submitted in writing, on the provided form, to Student Accounts within 5 days of the date of the violation in order to be considered by the Parking Committee.
Parking violations in handicap areas, fire lanes and on public streets around the campus may be enforced by the Wichita Police Department. Tickets issued by the Wichita Police must be paid or contested at City Hall located at 455 N. Main, Wichita, Kan. |
