Newman University provides 24 hour, seven days a week uniform security. The officers assigned are licensed through the City of Wichita and are authorized to enforce laws and policies on University property. The Security Department complies with the reporting requirements of the Kansas Bureau of Investigation, has close working relations with the Wichita Police Department, and cooperates with all law enforcement agencies.

Emergencies

University policy requires that all emergencies (criminal, fire and medical) be reported immediately by calling 911. There is no charge for dialing 911 from a pay telephone. For non-emergency matters, security personnel can be contacted by calling 316-253-7580 or 316-942-4291, ext. 2143.
