- Explain how you learned about the position
- Highlight your major qualifications as they relate to the position
- Request a reply and the opportunity for a personal interview.
- Be brief (no more than one page), readable and error free. Be original
A Cover Letter Should Not:
- Be too wordy
- Be apologetic or negative
- Have too many sentences that start with “I…”
- Have any misspelled words, grammatical or punctuation errors, incomplete sentences, or typos.
- Mention salary information unless specifically requested.
