The Office of Career Services provides you with “one-stop shopping” to help meet your employment needs or find the opportunity to gain valuable experience. Following are some of the resources we have to help you in your search.
Employment Opportunities
We have many employers who contact us daily with opportunities for employment or internships. On this page you will find a list for available job openings for students. An Employment Opportunities Bulletin may also be emailed to all Newman University students each Friday.
Employment Interest Form
Students or alumni can fill out this form and put it on file in the Office of Career Services. This will alert staff as to what positions you are seeking. As time permits, if such a position comes in, we will call you to share the information.
NACElink Connect for Students
This services allows you to:
- Search for jobs posted for Newman University students and alumni
- Create and save resumes and cover letters to send to employers advertising positions through this system.
- Update and tailor a resume and cover letter for specific employers
- Create job search agents to notify you of new jobs
- Apply for jobs through the system or off-line
Cooperative Education/Internships
Cooperative Education and internship records are maintained in the Office of Career Services. We work cooperatively with faculty to assist students with placements that will be growth enhancing, personally and professionally, for the students and community businesses and agencies.
Career Fair
Held in the Spring semester, the Career Fair brings local businesses to campus to assist students with information about the current job market. It also offers opportunities for students to network with professionals in their field of interest, along with the convenience of applying for positions with these companies. |
