Newman has a Math & Writing Center, consisting of peer tutors to help you with your math class and writing needs. Additionally, peer tutors can be requested for any class in which you are enrolled -- not just math and writing -- at no additional cost to you. Please note, however, that tutors may not be available for every class, and even if you have documentation stating that you should have a tutor, it may be impossible for us to find a tutor for you, especially if you are taking upper level, graduate, or specialty class.

To schedule a session at the Writing or Math Center You can:
  1. Come by our office at 309 Sacred Heart Hall and schedule your appointment in person
  2. Call the Math and Writing Center at 316-942-4291, ext. 2229
  3. Schedule it electronically by visiting the Math Center or Writing Center
If you are unable to meet with a tutor in person, but need to have feedback on a paper you have written, you can submit it to e-coach. You can get the directions for using e-coach by clicking here or finding them within the Writing Center's site.

If You Need A Tutor For Any Other Class
You can download a request form (PDF 73 KB), fill it out and e-mail the form to the director. Forms can also be obtained by stopping by the Math and Writing Center, 309 Sacred Heart Hall, or by calling the Math and Writing Center at 316-942-4294, ext. 2229. The director can also reached by clicking here.
