| Biology Career Opportunities
Biology has become such a vast research enterprise that it is not generally regarded as a single discipline, but as a number of clustered sub-disciplines.
If you are interested in a health-related field such as medicine, dentistry, optometry, pharmacy, physical therapy or veterinary medicine, a degree in biology, in addition to chemistry courses, will satisfy the curricular entrance requirements for professional schools and give you the background to ensure that you succeed in these programs.
There is also an opportunity to earn a master in occupational therapy along with your bachelor of science in biology in five years. It’s possible through the Occupational Therapy Dual Degree Program through a partnership with Washington University in St. Louis, Mo.
