Conlee is a 1965 graduate of the University of Chicago School of Law, where he was a National Honor Scholar and of the Executive Master of Business Administration (MBA) Program at the University of Colorado in Boulder. Since 1994, he has served as a teacher and Program Director of Paralegal Studies Programs at Wichita State University, where he received the Undergraduate Teacher of the Year Award from the Barton School of Business, and at Newman University, where the program relocated in 2004. His areas of legal practice have ranged from litigation experience involving contractual disputes and antitrust matters to regulatory experience in the banking industry, prosecution and defense of civil rights claims, and appellate work at the state and federal levels. Conlee speaks at bar-related activists on the effective use of paralegals and serves on the Kansas Bar Association’s Standing Committee on Paralegals. He lectures frequently at WSU’s Mini-MBA program and for many years has conducted the business law section of a review course for accounting students studying for the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam.
