Business Administration
Business Administration programs at Newman University are embedded in the broader liberal arts tradition of the university. At Newman, business education is not just preparation for a career. It is designed to engage the mind, to cultiEck Hallvate in the student a sense of curiosity, speculation, and creativity – to encourage the student to challenge established norms and rituals under the rubric of intellectual rigor, and to force the student to examine her or his responsibilities to the commonwealth. Anything less is little more than a formalized apprenticeship. At best it furnishes society with a highly-skilled, value-neutral technician. At its most vulgar, it sacrifices all liberalization for socialization in existent practices, customs, and conventions.

At NU, the study of business is not just about being a good accountant, a skilled marketer or a competent manager. At Newman the study of business is about all that and more – about making good choices and about making the right choices, whether your major is accountancy, finance, general business, management, management information systems, or marketing.
