According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), computer and IS management positions will grow by 47 percent between 2000 and 2010. This represents the fastest growing segment of management positions. The combination of a business and information technology background improves the applicant’s prospects for employment. The BLS projects that eight of the 10 fastest growing occupations between 2000 and 2010 will be in technology. Graduates own their own businesses, are presidents and vice presidents of companies and organizations, top managers of corporations, market research directors, communication directors, chief information officers, lawyers and sales managers. Some of the industries that have employed Newman graduates are public and private accounting firms, banks, government offices, management, insurance and public relations firms.
