Secondary Education
The Teacher Education Program at Newman University allows for close personal interaction with instructors. The program allows working adults to complete their licensure while balancing work and/or family commitments. Students in the Secondary Education Program may earn licensure in biology, Eck Hallchemistry, English, mathematics, or history/government. Newman University trains more teachers than any other private college or university in Kansas.

Newman offers scholarship opportunities for education majors from select Kansas community colleges. For more information contact Newman or talk to your community college advisor.

Upon completion of the general education and content area requirements, the Secondary Education Program takes three semesters to complete, including the internship (student teaching) semester. Students with transfer hours should meet with an enrollment advisor at NU to determine their individual plans of study.
