Sharon Niemann has served as Program Director of the Nurse Anesthesia Program since 2004. Prior to that, she was the Assistant Director/Clinical Director of the NU Nurse Anesthesia Program since it's inception in 1999. Sharon received her Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) and Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Kansas Newman College in 1982 and 1989. She obtained her anesthesia education from Texas Wesleyan University with a Master of Health Science (MHS) in 1995 and served as a Cardiovascular Nurse Anesthetist from 1995 to 2004.

Donna Vierthaler is the Assistant Director of NU Nurse Anesthesia Program. She has served in that capacity since 2004. Vierthaler received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Kansas Newman College in 1984 and her Master of Health Science (MHS) in Nurse Anesthesia from Texas Wesleyan University in 1993. She is a Staff Nurse Anesthetist with Anesthesia Consulting Services in Wichita, Kan.
