The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Curriculum
The curriculum for the baccalaureate of science in nursing (BSN) degree requires a minimum of 60 specified hours of liberal arts and sciences prior to enrolling in nursing courses. It is designed to produce a generalist in nursing and to provide a basis for advanced education in nursing.

The curriculum of the BSN Program is community based. Community based nursing is nursing care directed toward promoting and maintaining the health of clients at all ages. The client may be an individual, a family or a population group. Nursing practice is comprehensive and is delivered in primary, secondary and tertiary health care settings. Settings may include but are not limited to homes, clinics, workplaces, schools, physician offices, health departments, hospitals and nursing homes.
