Radiological Technology Grading

Other Concerns

Study time

You must allow for adequate study time. Many radiology students form study groups to help each other prepare for tests and for moral support. If you would rather study by yourself that's all right too. Faculty members are always willing to assist students with their questions.

The student must make a commitment to learn the material as presented chronologically. This commitment requires a strong support system from family, friends and peers. If a student must work, full-time employment is discouraged and can create additional stress.

Grading

Core radiology courses have a higher grading scale than traditional college course work. You should be aware of what this scale is.

Radiological Technology Courses

100 - 94 = A
93 - 87 = B
86 - 80 = C
79 - 75 = D
74 - 0 = F

The purpose of this higher scale is to insure that you are learning the necessary material. A building block approach is used in the radiology curriculum. Many concepts must be memorized and will be used in subsequent study, and ultimately, be examined on the registry examination.
