| Respiratory Care Degree Requirements

The Respiratory Care Program leads to an associate of science in health science (ASHS) degree. Requirements for the degree include 33 hours of liberal arts courses and 42 hours of professional courses.
Liberal Arts CoursesThe following courses must be completed with a grade of “C” or higher prior to entering the professional phase of the program: Intermediate Algebra, College Writing 1, Human Anatomy, Human Physiology, Introduction to Chemistry, Microbiology and Speech.
The following courses may be completed during the professional phase: Medical Terminology, Pharmacology, Philosophy and Theology.
