Freshman Admission Requirements  

Students applying to Newman University are evaluated on an individual basis.

Consideration for admission is based on the following:

Freshman

  • High School GPA
  • ACT or SAT score
    • The average freshman for the Fall of 2008 had a Cum. HS GPA or 3.49 and a Composite ACT of 24
  • High School Curriculum -A recommended (not required) high school curriculum
    • English - 4 units
    • Math - 3 units (including algebra)
    • Science - 3 units
    • Social science - 3 units
  • All prior college/university courses

Transfers

  • All prior college/universtiy courses (Students with less than 24 completed credit hours are required to also submit high school transcripts and test scores)

Students are notified by mail of their admission status at the address provided on the application for admission.
