Daniel has been a member of Campus Ministry and the Student Ambassadors for three years. He has attended two service learning trips to Mexico and one to Louisiana. Daniel has been a T&T Facilitator for a year. He has also worked on the Diocese of Wichita retreat team for three years. He is originally from Tulsa, Okla. and will be graduating in May with a degree in theology. Daniel is also an ASC Community Leader Scholar.

Clare is a four year member of the Women’s Soccer Team for NU. During her time at Newman, she has been very involved on campus including being an Ambassador, a T&T Facilitator, and a member of the Student Athletic Advisory Committee. Clare works in Student Support Services as well as the Athletic Training Room.

Caleb is a 22 year old Newman student from Park City, Utah. He has one older brother and one younger sister. Caleb will be graduating in May with a degree in business management. He is a member of the Jets Men’s Basketball Team. In his spare time, Caleb enjoys skiing and boating.

Emmanuel (El Porterito) is from Brownsville, Texas, near the border of Mexico. Emmanuel is a goal keeper for the Men’s Soccer Team at NU. He will be graduating with a degree in criminal justice in May 2009. He also loves tacos!

Amy is a senior, greatly anticipating graduating in May. Amy is planning on pursuing her Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the University of Missouri in Kansas City this fall. Although spare time is a luxury, she enjoys painting, drawing, reading, hanging out with friends and family, and volunteering.

Dajana is an international student from Kroatia. She has been involved in many organizations while at Newman, including: Multicultural Leadership Organization, Campus Activities Board, and Campus Ministry. Dajana is graduating with a degree in biology. She is very excited to start optometry school in the fall at the University of Houston College of Optometry, but is very sad to leave Newman – her home away from home!

Cassandra is a biochemistry major as well as Student Minister at Newman. She is also a Scholar in Rural Health through the University of Kansas School of Medicine where she will be attending medical school in the fall of 2008. She is very involved in the Pre-Med Club as well as Campus Ministry. Cassandra loves going on service trips, especially to Guaymas, Mexico; March for Life in D.C.; KCCSC; R-Cubed and Katrina relief efforts in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi. In her spare time, she enjoys wakeboarding and knee boarding, playing volleyball, Wednesday nights at La Mesa and definitely writing and giving those R-Cubed speeches. Cassandra also enjoys spending time with her family and friends as well as growing her faith and sharing it with others.
