Dual Admissions Program

    Entrance to Newman UniversityPurpose

    The purpose of this Dual Admissions Program agreement is to provide the opportunity for students to be admitted to Newman University while enrolled at partner schools. The goal of the program is to provide a seamless transition for students transferring from these schools.

     Process

    Students interested in the Newman University Dual Admissions Program must complete the following process in order to receive consideration for admission.

    • Students must be accepted and/or enrolled at one of the partner schools
    • Students must complete the Application for Admission for the year they intend to enroll at Newman University at least two semesters prior to their enrollment, For example, for Fall 2013 enrollment students must apply during the Fall 2011 semester.
    • Students must complete and sign the Dual Admissions/Intent to Enroll Application Form

     Eligibility

    Students must meet the following eligibility requirements for admission to the Dual Admissions Program:

    • Students with fewer than 24 transferable college credits must have the following:
      • High School GPA higher of 2.0 or higher
      • ACT Composite greater than 18
      • Cumulative College GPA of 2.0 or higher
    • Students with more than 24 transferable college credits must have the following:
      • Cumulative College GPA of 2.0 or higher

     Benefits

    Students who participate in the Newman University Dual Admissions Program will receive the following program benefits:

    • Students will be admitted to Newman University for a future semester while attending current two year or community college.
    • Students will receive academic advising from both institutions. Students will receive degree audits from Newman University, while attending current two year or community college.
    • Students will receive Dual Admission Scholarship of $3000.00 per academic year
