Wichita, Kan. – Three Newman University women’s soccer players dotted the 2008 All-Heartland Conference Team, released on Thursday. Forward Amanda Knabe, midfielder Lauren Benning, and defender Heather Baloga represented Newman on the All-Heartland Conference Second Team.

Warrensburg, Mo. – Josh Fansler led the Newman University wrestlers with a 5-2 record at the Central Missouri State Open. His performance was good for a fifth place finish as the Jets put together a solid performance in a difficult tournament.
