"If a person turns from print—finding it too slow, too hard,
irrelevant to the excitements of the present—then what
happens to that person's sense of culture and continuity?"
—Sven Birkerts, The Gutenberg Elegies
"More sports for everyone, group spirit, fun, and you don't
have to think, eh? Organize and organize and superorganize
super-super sports. More cartoons in books. More pictures.
The mind drinks less and less."
—Ray Bradbury, Fahrenheit 451
