Newman University Receives $25,000 Pledge from Catholic Diocese of Dodge City for New Library and Campus Center

Newman University has received a $25,000 pledge from the Catholic Diocese of Dodge City for the Dugan Library and Campus Center capital campaign.

"Newman University is truly appreciative for the support offered by Bishop Gilmore and the Diocese of Dodge City," said Thomas E. Borrego, J.D., Newman's vice president of Institutional Advancement.

Dr. Noreen Carrocci Named 11th President

Newman University officials announced Monday, March 12, that Noreen M. Carrocci, Ph.D. will serve as the 11th president of the institution beginning July 1, 2007. Dr. Carrocci is the fourth female president and first lay woman to hold the presidential office. A formal installation ceremony for Dr. Carrocci is planned early in the 2007-08 academic year.

Job seekers can meet with more than 50 regional employers during Newman University's upcoming career fair. The fair will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, March 29, in the Fugate Gymnasium located in O'Shaughnessy Hall on the university campus.
