Newman University to Present 22nd Annual Jet Open Charity Golf Tournament

Newman University will host the 22nd Annual Jet Open Charity Golf Tournament Monday, May 1, at Rolling Hills Country Club, 223 South Westlink Street in Wichita. The tournament, presented by Suburban Landscape Management, is designed to benefit Newman student-athletes by raising funds for athletic scholarships, programs and facilities.

Newman University Receives $2 Million Naming Gift for New Library & Campus Center From John and Marilyn Dugan of Wichita

Newman University announced Thursday, April 20, that its new Library and Campus Center will be named for John E. and Marilyn K. Dugan of Wichita. The Dugans have provided a gift of $2 million to the university’s campaign, the largest gift from an individual in the university’s history.

This presentation will feature the Newman University Chorale and Troubadours performing jointly under the direction of Deanne Zogleman, director and visiting instructor of music.

Newman University and City of Wichita Cooperate For Re-route of McCormick Avenue

After more than two and a half years of collaboration between Newman University, the City of Wichita and businesses adjacent to the Newman campus, construction is officially beginning on the re-route of a section of McCormick Avenue which currently runs through the center of the Newman campus. The City awarded Cornejo & Sons, Inc. the contract on April 4, with construction set to begin immediately after Easter.
