Newman University Breaks Ground for New Dugan Library and Campus Center Wednesday, May 31, 2006 (210 reads)
Newman University officials joined with major donors, contractors and city officials yesterday afternoon to officially break ground for the new Dugan Library and Campus Center. Construction on the new facility, which replaces the former campus library that was closed in 2003 because of structural problems, is scheduled to begin within the next few months. The building is expected to be completed and operational by late summer 2007. Read More |

The Newman University Board of Trustees voted Monday, May 22, to approve application to the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II and Heartland Conference. The university received a formal invitation to join the NCAA Div. II Heartland Conference this spring. Read More |

Newman University Student Maricela Cordova Receives Awards in Radiologic Technology Competition Friday, May 19, 2006 (201 reads)
Newman University radiologic technology major Maricela Cordova of Wichita, Kan., won first place in the Paper Competition and first place in the Film Competition that were part of the Kansas Society of Radiologic Technologists (KRST) annual meeting April 6 - 8 held in Topeka, Kan. Cordova received the honors for her paper on the topic of fetal MRI and for her cross-table lateral lumbar myelogram film. Read More |

Newman University radiologic technology major Amber Gorges of Andale, Kan., placed third in the "Ray Bowl" Competition that was part of the Kansas Society of Radiologic Technologists (KRST) annual meeting April 6 - 8 held in Topeka, Kan. Howerton was one of a three-student team that won 3rd place in the Ray Bowl, a competition related to knowledge of the radiologic technology field.
