Newman University To Offer Elementary Education Degree Program At Seward County Community College Monday, June 25, 2007 (160 reads)
Residents of the Liberal area will soon have more options to earn a college degree thanks to an agreement recently concluded between Newman University and Seward County Community College (SCCC). According to SCCC Dean of Instruction Dr. Cynthia Rapp, Newman will begin offering courses in August 2007 at SCCC that lead to a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education. Students who have completed their general education requirements at the community college, or those who already have a degree in another subject area, may qualify to enter Newman’s accelerated degree completion program. Newman University To Offer Elementary Education Degree Program In Ulysses Via Interactive Television Monday, June 25, 2007 (162 reads)
Residents of the Ulysses area will soon have a new option to earn a college degree thanks to the Newman University Distance Education Program. In August 2007, Newman will begin offering courses in Ulysses that lead to a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education. All courses will be offered via interactive television at Pioneer Telephone in Ulysses. Students who have completed their general education requirements at a community college, or those who already have a degree in another subject area, may qualify to enter Newman’s accelerated degree completion program. Catholic Charities, Newman University, Agencies Partner to Administer Program Saturday, June 09, 2007 (184 reads)
Kansas City, Kansas and Wichita Diocese have been selected to deliver a program designed to strengthen marriages and provide positive results for Kansas children. The program, Marriage for Keeps, officially began operations this week in Kansas. The program is the first of its kind for Kansas, offering services to married couples with children in targeted communities. Read More |

Newman University Accepted Into Prestigious Student Learning Assessment Academy Saturday, June 09, 2007 (151 reads)
Newman University has been accepted into the Academy for the Assessment of Student Learning (AASL), a special program offered to member institutions of the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. The academy is a four-year sequence of events and interactions with the Higher Learning Commission and other colleges and universities, which are focused on increasing participating institutions’ ability to assess and improve student learning.
