Newman University Announces 2007-08 Women’s Basketball Schedule Monday, October 29, 2007 (128 reads)
The Newman University women’s basketball team has announced its schedule for the 2007-2008 season. The season will kick off at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 3 with an exhibition game against perennial rival Friends University. The game, as in all Newman home games, will be played in Fugate Gymnasium inside O’Shaughnessy Hall on the Newman University campus. Read More |

Newman University Steckline Gallery Features WORKS OF HEaRT Bottles, Children’s Books Thursday, October 25, 2007 (156 reads)
The Newman University Steckline Gallery will mount an exhibition of works by members of WORKS OF HEaRT, Inc. called “Bottles of Hope/Para los Ninos/Member’s Show.” The exhibition will begin with an opening reception from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 26. Fourth Annual ‘Art of Food and Drink’ Raises Scholarship Funds for Newman University Thursday, October 18, 2007 (144 reads)
More than 165 faculty, staff, alumni and friends of Newman University gathered Saturday, Oct. 6 to enjoy a gourmet dinner and raise funds to help Newman students at the fourth annual “Art of Food and Drink.” The event, hosted by the Newman Alumni Association, was staged to provide financial support for the university’s Monsignor McNeill Scholarship. Newman University Men’s Basketball Games To Be Broadcast on KGSO Sports Radio Wichita Wednesday, October 17, 2007 (192 reads)
Newman University has signed an agreement that will bring the university’s men’s basketball games to radio listeners throughout south central Kansas and northern Oklahoma. The agreement, between Newman and KGSO AM 1410 Sports Radio Wichita, includes the airing of a Newman men’s basketball “Game of the Week” during the season, as well as weekly appearances by Newman coaches as part of the station’s “The Gameplan” basketball program and a variety of promotional announcements and opportunities. Newman University to Stage “NU Senior Day” Open Houses for High School Students Friday, October 05, 2007 (156 reads)
Newman University is offering high school seniors a unique opportunity to learn what college life is like, by inviting them to spend a night in one of the university’s residence halls. The invitation is part of the “NU Senior Day” events Newman will hold over the next few months. The events are scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2007; Friday, Nov. 16, 2007; and Saturday.
