The Newman University men’s basketball team will host perhaps the biggest game yet at O’Shaughnessy Hall on Wednesday, Nov. 28, when Pittsburgh State University comes to Fugate Gymnasium for a 7 p.m. contest. Independence Community College Graduate Named Newman University Kansas Teacher of Promise Monday, November 19, 2007 (162 reads)
Independence Community College graduate and current Newman University student Penny Wagner has received the prestigious Kansas Teacher of Promise award. Wagner received the award during the annual Kansas Teacher of the Year State Awards Banquet held Saturday, Nov. 17 at the Marriott Hotel in Wichita. The Teacher of Promise award is presented to only two outstanding Newman elementary education graduates each year by the Kansas State Department of Education and Newman University. Read More |

Dodge City Community College graduate and current Newman University student Jamie Schauvliege Harrington has received the prestigious Kansas Teacher of Promise award.
