Volleyball team engages the community

The '07 volleyball squad took time out before their last road trip to visit young patients on Halloween at St. Francis Hospital. Goodies were handed out to those who were well enough to have visitors, and more were left to give to the children at a later time.

Newman University Volunteers Help Allocate 2008 Funding For United Way of the Plains Community Programs

Newman University helped to ensure that United Way of the Plains 2008 donations will be invested for maximum community impact through the following volunteers, who served on the United Way's 2007 Allocations Review Panels: Director of Alumni Relations, Ann Fox, Professor of Sociology, Larry Heck, and Visiting Lecturer of Accounting and Information Systems, David Jones.

Catholic Charities, Newman University, Agencies Partner to Administer Program

Kansas City, Kansas and Wichita Diocese have been selected to deliver a program designed to strengthen marriages and provide positive results for Kansas children. The program, Marriage for Keeps, officially began operations this week in Kansas. The program is the first of its kind for Kansas, offering services to married couples with children in targeted communities.
