Executive Assistant to the President Tracy McGarey received the Staff Excellence Award during a Faculty and Staff Appreciation Luncheon on Aug. 21. The Staff Excellence Award was created to recognize an individual staff member who exemplifies the qualities representative of the many wonderful people who serve and support students, faculty, and even other staff. This staff member helps promote quality service within the university. McGarey has worked at Newman for 9 years. Before her current position she was senior administrative assistant to the provost and vice president for academic affairs.
