Played every match this fall after recovering from shoulder surgery this past summer. Rutherford is a team player on and off the court. She strives to make herself a better player and is willing to do what it takes to make her game the best it can be.
As a Freshman 2006-07
Rutherford played mostly doubles due to shoulder injury sustained during the middle of the fall season. Received the “Leave It All On The Court” team award. Rutherford was part of the team that won the ITA Team Academic Award and the Heartland Conference Team Runner-Up Scholar Award for highest GPA.
Goddard High School
As a 2006 graduate of Goddard High School, Rutherford played doubles for the Chisholm Trail League Champions and was coached by John Markham. She completed her high school career as a four year academic honor student.

Born March 17, 1988 in Colwich, Kan. to Daniel and Sharon Rutherford. She has five siblings: Timothy, Beth, John, Natalie and Joseph. Rutherford is majoring in occupational therapy. |
