The Newman University Student-Athlete Advisory Committee is established by authority of the Athletic Department of the institution which is a member of the Heartland Conference and is to receive information from appropriate sources and to act on matters pertaining to the welfare of Newman student-athletes.
Our purpose
Promote communication between athletics administration and student athletes.
- Disseminate information
- Provide feedback and insight in to athletics department issues.
- Generate a student-athlete voice within the campus athletics department formulation of policies.
- Build a sense of community within the athletics program involving all athletic teams.
- Solicit student-athlete responses to proposed conference and NCAA legislation.
- Organize a vehicle for student-athlete representation on campus-wide committees (ex. Student Government)
- Promote a positive student-athlete image on campus.
