Entering his third full season as head coach of the Newman baseball program, Leonard Rau compiled a impressive array of awards. After leading Newman to a 35-22 record and a conference championship in 2006, Rau was named MCAC Coach of the year, as well as earning five different regional Coach of the Year honors from the NAIA, Rawlings, Diamond, Lousville Slugger and the American Baseball Coaches Association. Rau is only the third coach in the history of Newman baseball, which boasts a record of 1022-455 (.690) over 29 seasons. Rau has led the Jets to 95-72 (.560) record in his three seasons.

Entering his second season as an assistant coach for the Jets. He was a member of the Jets MCAC conference championship team in 2006. Prior to playing for Newman, Zane played at Bethany College for one year and Butler Community College for two. He was an assistant coach for the Newton Rebels the pass two summer who finished 7th place in the National Baseball Congress World Series in 2006. Zane is originally from Hutchinson, Kan.

After completing two successful playing years for the Jets, Ninfo will be an assistant coach for the 2008 season working with the infielders. He is originally from Northridge, Calif. and will be graduating with a psychology degree in May. As a junior in 2006, he was an Honorable Mention second baseman for the Jets MCAC conference championship team. That year he helped the team turn a school record of 49 double plays and batted .388 in conference play. Prior to playing for Newman, Ninfo played at LA Valley College in Sherman Oaks, Calif. where he played a significant role in their conference championship. Before junior college, Ninfo played at the national powerhouse, Chatsworth High School where he won a C.I.F Championship in 2001. Robert also played with the Crestwood Panthers in Chicago where they finished 3rd the past two summers (06 -07) in the NBC World Series. Ninfo received the award for the most spectacular play award in the NBC tournament in 2006.
