College:

Finished freshman season with a 2-0 record. Earned a win in his first career start against Minot State and earned his second win in relief against Oklahoma Wesleyan. Threw six innings, allowing three runs against Kansas State. Also runs cross country at Newman, earning first team All- Heartland Conference honors in 2006. In 2005, became the first runner in Newman history to qualify for the NAIA national meet.

High School:

Played at Maize High School, coached by Rocky Helm. Helped Eagles to a third-place finish at the 6A State Tournament as a junior and a 6A State Championship as a senior.
