Began at Newman after playing sophomore season at Ranger College in Texas, batting
.290 with a home run and 15 RBI in 37 at bats. Earned 4-2 record on the mound, striking out 20 in 29 innings while walking just one with a 3.72 ERA. As a freshman, played at Ventura College in California, batting .310 with 16 stolen bases.
High School: Played at Clear Creek High School, coached by Jim Mallory. Was first team All-County and All-District centerfielder as a senior. Also earned team’s Bulldog Award and was MVP of the American Legion team. Played club baseball for the League City Hornets, coached by Tommy Hutson. |
