  • Financial Management
  • Strategic Management

Currently a student may select from one of five tracks that best fits her or his career objective: Finance, International Business, Leadership, Management, and Management Information Systems.

Finance

Financial management is at the core of value creation for every enterprise. It is now a cliché to say that business, and financial markets in particular, are global. But in reality, the global business environment has made a career in finance exciting, volatile, and rewarding, both professionally and personally.

The Finance Track Courses

  • Financial Management 2
  • Financial Statement Analysis
  • Treasury Management
  • International Finance

International Business

A noted business writer has said, "In about five years there will be two types of CEOs, those who think globally and those who are unemployed." Thinking globally is better.

The International Business Track Courses

  • International Economics
  • International Marketing
  • International Finance
  • International Business Law

Leadership

Leadership is about vision, change, empowerment, creativity, innovation, and inspiring others. Most of all, it is about transforming away from virtually every established norm, model, ideal, myth, and conventional wisdom that guided prior generations of leaders. The good news? It’s there for the taking.

The Leadership Track Courses

  • Leadership
  • Business and Society
  • Negotiation and Influence
  • Organizational Change and Development

Management

Twenty-first century management is about managing in a climate of accelerating change and diversity, while addressing the concerns of all of the organization's stakeholders; customers, shareholders, employees, and society at large. The Management track trains students to think in both short- and long-term strategies simultaneously. Throughout the entire program, students are taught the importance of high ethical standards.

Management Track Courses

  • Business and Society
  • Organizational Change and Development
  • Operations Management
  • Management Information Systems

Eric Leitzel

“Besides receiving my MBA degree, I believe the greatest impact I have received from Newman University is getting to know the people at or associated with NU. Newman’s lifeblood is truly all the people that work hard, long hours (sometimes service hours), to make the school cool and different from any other school on the planet.”
