Judy WilbertJudy Wilbert Reading Specialist and Library Media Specialist

Judy Wilbert is heading up our Reading Specialist Curriculum & Instruction Master of Science degree program. She is an effective educator with 25 years of experience including: classroom teacher, librarian, educational consultant, instructional coach, district level curriculum reading specialist, and university instructor. She has a special interest in curriculum and professional learning. Judy holds a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education and Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction; Reading Specialist Licensure from Wichita State University, and Library Media Licensure from Emporia University. Judy now uses her many hours as a student and her varied experiences in the education world to provide literacy consulting to teachers. Consulting and teaching university courses keep her busy after retiring from her job in the Curriculum Department with Wichita USD 259, along with teaching her 3 year old granddaughter one day per week at “Nana’s Preschool”. Additionally, she and her husband Warren have two daughters and sons-in-law, plus two grandsons and a new puppy who occupy the rest of her free time.

Janice BuseltJanice Buselt, Reading Specialist

Janice Buselt has worked in the field of education for more than 30 years. Throughout her career, she has filled a number of different roles including classroom teacher, reading specialist, instructional coach and staff developer. These varied responsibilities have provided Janice with a broad base of teaching experiences. She completed her undergraduate work at Emporia State University and holds a Masters of Education degree in Reading from Washburn University. Though retired from the Wichita Public Schools, Janice currently holds Kansas Highly Qualified teacher licensure in K-9 Instruction, Reading, ESOL, and is currently affiliated with the Maize School District as a District Level Kagan Cooperative Learning Trainer. She and her husband John have two grown sons and daughters-in-law who work in the field of education, and the two “most adorable” grandchildren.

Terri HarrisTerri Harris, Reading Interventionist

Terri Harris is the definition of an educator. She has spent 36 years in the education field working as an elementary classroom teacher, campus support teacher, instructional coach, and the past five years as a reading interventionist. Terri has a BA in Elementary Education from Wichita State University and ESOL Endorsement from Kansas State University. She made the transition from the classroom to working directly with classroom teachers and has enjoyed the challenge of supporting instructional reading programs that fit the needs of individual students. Satisfaction of using her background in the educational field has provided her with the reward of knowing she has touched many lives and hopefully made a difference. Terri is married with two daughters, two son-in-laws and two granddaughters.
