Zero Tolerance

Newman University strives to provide an educational environment that reflects its Catholic mission and identity, respects the dignity of every person, and honors both personal and institutional integrity. The university prohibits all forms of gender and sex-based discrimination, examples of which can include acts of sexual violence, sexual harassment, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking. All members of the campus community are expected to live in a spirit of critical consciousness and conduct themselves in a manner that does not infringe upon the rights of others. Newman University believes in a zero-tolerance policy for gender-based misconduct and the need for its community members to walk as compassionate companions, embracing a climate characterized by right relationships among all individuals.
