Campus Life

Live at Newman University

College life is more than classes, books, tests and residence hall rooms- it's connecting with other people, making lifelong friends and future colleagues and building relationships with experienced faculty who can be a resource in your career and your life for years to come.

College life is spending time with your friends on the weekend, going out to eat even though you're broke, and still finding ways to have the time of your life. Also, it's finding ways to feed the spirit and the body as well as the mind. You can find all of that and more here at Newman!

Whether you live on campus or you commute from the local Wichita area, you will find many opportunities to grow and connect at Newman. NU offers more than 30 academic clubs and organizations, along with learning communities, honor societies, arts and music programs, NCAA Division II Athletics and multiple leadership opportunities, giving you the opportunity you need to get involved, have fun and make connections for the future.

Newman is located in the largest city in Kansas, just minutes away from new downtown and riverside developments, museums, professional sports teams, concerts, and a happenin' Old Town entertainment district. It's a tight community where you can have a friendly conversation with a security guard or cafeteria worker, because they know your name and care how you're doing. It's a place where you can renew your soul at noon Mass and rejuvenate your body at evening yoga. Yeah, you really can live here.

Kansas Regent's University transfer

"I chose Newman mainly for the size. It offers all the same things as a big university, but the professors are more engaged with students, and everyone's really interested that students get something out of their university experience and not just go through the motions. They reach out to you and get to know your name, not your ID number."
